One year ago today, sculptor and ceramic artist Hailey Tovar experienced an indescribably wonderful (but absolutely irresponsible) afternoon with Ryan Matthews, a near-stranger. She has not seen him since, but not a day has passed that she hasn't thought of those surreal hours, or the reckless abandon which enabled them. To this day she is befuddled by her behavior, so she heads to the library to do some research. Imagine her surprise when she finds Ryan sitting on the floor between the shelves with 'Mesmer's Theory of Animal Magnetism' already in his lap.
